Join Our New Community Choir, the Davis Bay Singers!
Do you love to sing, or have you always wanted to give it a try? Our new choir is open to anyone who would like to gather with others and enjoy the simple joy of singing together. We’ll focus on songs in unison and easy harmonies—perfect for those who are just starting out, those who haven’t sung in a while, or anyone looking for a relaxed and welcoming musical experience.
This is a low-pressure environment where the emphasis is on enjoyment, learning, and community rather than performance perfection. Together, we’ll explore how to:
- Read and understand choral music
- Develop listening skills and learn how to blend with others
- Strengthen your ability to sing in tune and with confidence
- Discover the fun of singing in harmony
No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity, your voice, and your enthusiasm. Whether you’re hoping to build your skills, reconnect with singing after some time away, or simply share in the uplifting experience of group music-making, this choir is a place where you’ll feel supported and encouraged.
The choir director is Sara Douglas, who also directs Suncoast Phoenix Community Choir and the Coast Music Theatre Company. Sara is a firm believer that not only can everyone sing, but that everyone should sing!

The sessions are on Thursday afternoons from 2:45- 4 pm at Living Faith Lutheran Church in Davis Bay. There will be 10 sessions in our fall season, starting on October 16th, 2025 and finishing on December 11. Cost is $100 for the season, or $15 to drop in.
